Want KenKen Ad-Free? — FIND OUT MORE    Why do we have ads?

Why are there ads?

We would love to provide everyone an ad-free experience, but we do need to generate revenue to cover at least some of our overhead. We're trying to be as reasonable as possible, and it also allows us to continue to offer you an option to access KenKen puzzles for free. For those who prefer an Ad-Free playing experience, we have an option for just pennies-a-day and it can be canceled anytime. BONUS! KenKen Premium also allows you to Track Your Progress, Join The Leaderboard, Save Puzzles, and more. Please consider this option for the best experience.

In addition, we continue to offer -- pro bono -- our KenKen Classroom Program which provides free KenKen puzzles and lessons to over 1 million students weekly. Revenue we raise from advertisements and subscription sales allow us to keep the program going, plain and simple. So thank you for supporting these teachers and students by supporting us. We all appreciate it.

Adding Smarts, Subtracting Fear, Multiplying Fun!

Our puzzles puzzle some: They can’t believe that KenKen—something so delightfully addictive, so completely fun—has an educational pedigree. But it’s true. KenKen was born in a Japanese classroom in 2004 and now boasts a proven track record of academic benefits—from increasing math skills and logical thinking to developing concentration, perseverance, and stamina.

It boils down to subtle shifts in challenge level, and a seemingly endless combination of numbers and operations. The more you play, the better you get. No wonder kids love it! And teachers do too: In fact, thousands of teachers worldwide now use our KenKen Classroom program, which allows them to target individual student needs with specially selected puzzles and chart student progress. Teachers who sign up for the free program quickly see why we named the puzzle after the Japanese word “ken,” meaning “wisdom.” (Loosely translated, KenKen means “wisdom squared.”)
